Obituary for Carolyn Saltsgaver
Carolyn Saltsgaver, 67, of Mount Carmel, passed away May 9, 2016 at Gibson General Hospital.
Carolyn was born on January 28, 1949 in Eldorado IL, the daughter of William and Elsie Marie (Hale) Stiles. She married Larry Saltsgaver on July 15, 1978 and together they have enjoyed thirty seven years of marriage.
Carolyn worked as a C.N.A. at Gibson General and Deaconess Hospitals for several years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved family dinners and the Christmas holiday. Carolyn enjoyed watching television and time spent with her dogs. She had a great sense of humor. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Carolyn is survived by her husband, Larry; son, Richard (Nathanial Wineinger) Thorn of Petersburg, IN; daughters Renee (Andy) Campbell of Mount Carmel, and Denise (Chris Taylor) Thorn of Evansville, IN; stepson; Ryan (Shannon) Keele of Mount Carmel; grandson, Josh Campbell; step grandson, Lucas Keele; sisters, Sharon Taylor, Linda Wiseman; several nieces and nephews and special friends, Charolette Lofton, Carolyn Burton and Carolyn Linson.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents.
Per her wishes, Carolyn will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
