Obituary for Elizabeth H. "Becky" Leithliter
Elizabeth H. Becky Leithliter, 93, of Mount Carmel, IL, passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at Wabash General Hospital in Mount Carmel. She was born on June 23, 1921 in Eldorado, IL, the daughter of John Emmitt and Mary (Hill) Hibbs. In 1945, Becky married the love of her life, Phillip Leithliter in Marion, IL. Phillip preceded Becky in death on September 27, 2012. Together they enjoyed sixty seven years of marriage. Becky was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Earl and Kenneth Hibbs; two sisters, Margaret Lawrence and Louise Collins. In her free time, Becky loved reading and listening to music. Becky was a baptized member of the Restitution Church of God in Eldorado. She attended church at the Free Methodist Church in Mount Carmel. She is survived by her nephews, Tom Hibbs, Jerry Lawrence, and David Hibbs; niece, Alice (Mark) Norman; and brother in law, Bob Leithliter. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m., Saturday, August 9, 2014 at the Restitution Church of God, 270 Alexandria Road in Eldorado with Elder Jack Wiggins and Dr. Brian Atra officiating. Burial will follow at Lindale Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Eldorado. Family and friends may gather for a visitation from 10:00 a.m.-11:30 p.m., Saturday, August 9, 2014 at the Free Methodist Fellowship Hall in Mount Carmel. Memorial contributions may be made in Beckys memory to the Restitution Church of God in Eldorado or to the Free Methodist Church in Mount Carmel. Memorial envelopes will be at the church or may be mailed to Keepes Funeral Home, 1500 North Cherry Street, Mount Carmel, IL 62863. Keepes Funeral Home is serving the family with the arrangements.
