Obituary for John Robert Woods
John Robert “Bob” Woods, 82, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2020 at his residence. He was born on February 24, 1938 in Mount Carmel, the son of H. E. and Pearl (Brown) Woods. Bob will be remembered by his wife, Leta Kay (Bell) Woods of Mount Carmel; daughters, Joanna Woods of Princeton, IN, Roberta Eaton and Marla (Arva) Mauck of Mount Carmel; eight granddaughters; one grandson; two great granddaughters; and sister, Norma McClellan of Houston, TX. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lois Wilkerson; and brother, Lt. Harry Richard Woods. In keeping with Bob’s wishes, a private Graveside Service will be held at Highland Memorial Cemetery. The family has requested no floral contributions to be sent and would welcome sympathy cards to be mailed to Keepes Funeral Home, 1500 N. Cherry Street, Mount Carmel, IL 62863.
