Obituary for William "Bill" G. Luker
William G. “Bill” Luker, 94, of Albion, IL, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 30, 2017 at his residence. He was born on January 14, 1923 in Yell County, Arkansas the son of Arthur and Zodie (Turner) Luker. Bill married Audrey (Belcher) Luker and she preceded him in death.

Bill faithfully served his county in the United States Army during World War II. Bill loved his family and treasured the time he spent with them. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was a Master Mason at the Masonic Lodge #41. In Bill’s free time he was an amateur radio operator. Bill worked at Snap on Tools for fifteen years as a welder. He will be missed by his family and all who knew him.

Bill will be remembered by his three sons, Glen (Beverly) Luker of Albion, IL, Scott (Kelly) Luker of Hartford, CT and Carl Luker of New Albany, IN; one daughter, Carrie Farris of Lexington, KY; grandchildren, Tim (Stephanie) Luker, Stacey (Mason) Moore, Tara Kessler, Jeffery Shown, Michael Luker and Patrick Luker; nine great grandchildren; and special friend, Rowena Raber.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Billy Luker; one brother and two sisters.

In keeping with William’s wishes he will be cremated and no formal services will be held.
