Virginia was a loving homemaker. She found peace at home and loved to swing on her front porch with her husband. When she was able, she enjoyed sewing and crocheting. Virginia was a member of the Lighthouse Church in Grayville, Illinois. She was faithful in her walk with the Lord, and she enjoyed daily morning devotions with Bob, even up to her last day. Virginia will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Virginia leaves behind her loving husband, Bob; bonus children, Michelle (Bill) Birkla, Kenneth Ray Swatsley, Susie Swatsley; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; spiritually adopted children, Dee, and Tom Collins.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; son, Bill Dowdy; and two brothers.
Graveside Services will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, May 5, 2022, at Antioch Cemetery in rural Wabash County with Pastor Jim Owen officiating.
