Obituary for Vickie Moody
Mamie Victoria Vickie Moody, 72, of Mount Carmel, IL, passed away on Friday, June 13, 2014 at her residence with her loving family by her side. She was born on May 28, 1942 in Gibson County, IN, the daughter of Archie and Ruby (McClellan) Lofton. She married Robert Bob Moody on July 8, 1960 in Wabash County, IL, and he survives. Vickie and Bob enjoyed spending time with their family and camping together. Vickie was totally devoted to her husband, children, grandchildren and her entire family. She worked as a lunch room aide for District # 348 for over thirty years. She never passed up a yard sale and loved searching for treasures. Vickie was a member of the Pentecostal Faith Assembly. She was loved very much and will be missed by many. She is survived by her husband of fifty four years, Bob Moody; her son, Rob (Joyce) Moody of Bellmont, IL; daughters, Debbie (Andy) Bailey of Mount Carmel, Tammy Minton of Bellmont, IL; seven grandchildren, Shannon (Matt) Moore, Ashley (Mikey) Renner, Jerrel (Brittany) Morgan, Lindsey (Cory) Fisher, Brett Lee Morgan, Travis Moody, Dylan Rymer; four great grandchildren, Jaden Rymer, Lilly and Karma Renner, and Brittany Moore; siblings, Keith Lofton, Dick (Charolette) Lofton, Cinda (Mike) Garwood, Willy (Hank) Walls, Gary (Cathy) Lofton, Joe (Angie) Lofton, Jeff Lofton; sister in law, Peggy Terry; and brother in law, Dave (Sherry) Moody. Vickie was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charles Lofton; sister in law, Zoella Lofton; son in law, Eddie Minton; nephew, Andy Lofton; and brother in law, Charles Terry. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at the Pentecostal Faith Assembly in Friendsville, IL with Pastor Charlie Wall officiating. Burial will follow at Maumee Cemetery in Johnson, IN. Family and friends may gather for a visitation from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service, Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at the Pentecostal Faith Assembly. Memorial contributions may be made in Vickies memory to Pentecostal Faith Assembly Building Renovation Fund. Memorial envelopes will be available at the church or may be mailed to Keepes Funeral Home, 1500 North Cherry Street, Mount Carmel, IL 62863.
