Obituary for Thomas "Tommy" P. Allen
Thomas Tommy P. Allen II, 44, of Mt. Carmel, IL, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at the IU Health University Hospital in Indianapolis, IN surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August, 27, 1969 in Wabash County, IL, the son of Thomas and Darlene (Bump) Allen. Tommys pride and joy was his children whom he loved dearly. He was their biggest fan. He was a member of Mount Carmel High School Class of 1988 and remained close with all his classmates. Among Tommys hobbies, he loved being outdoors, mushroom hunting and fishing. Tommy also enjoyed attending car shows where he enjoyed rat rod cars and muscle cars. He loved watching Nascar and cheering for Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Mount Carmel Golden Aces Football. Tommy attended church at the Gospel Kingdom Church with his grandma and grandpa Bump and Parkview Christian Church with his children. He worked for TSC Construction. Tommy will be forever remembered and missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his parents, Tom and Darlene Allen; two sons, Thomas Allen III and Zachary Allen both of Mount Carmel, daughter, Tori (Josh Shiever) Frailey of Mount Carmel; two sisters, Tammy (Brad Arhelger) Lang of Evansville, IN and Stephanie (Bub) Banks of Mount Carmel, IL; his aunts and uncles; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Tommy was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Dwight and Ruth Allen; maternal grandparents, Ben and Celia Bump. Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, August 2, 2014 at the Gospel Kingdom Church, 1440 West 3rd Street, Mount Carmel with Brother Brandon Hodgson and Minister Mark Richison officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Wabash County, IL. Family and friends may gather for a visitation from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., Saturday, August 2, 2014, at the Gospel Kingdom Church. Memorial contributions may be made in Tommys memory to the First National Bank to help offset funeral expenses. Memorial envelopes will be available at the church or may be mailed to Keepes Funeral Home, 1500 North Cherry Street, Mount Carmel, IL 62863.
