Obituary for Thomas Gene Johnson
Thomas Gene “Tom” Johnson, 69, of Olney, Illinois, passed away Friday, October 22, 2021, at home. He was born on June 12, 1952, in Mount Carmel, the son of Herschel E. and Marjorie (Zimmerman) Johnson. Tom worked in the oilfields. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a very caring person and enjoyed visiting with friends and family. He loved his family and will be dearly missed. Tom leaves behind his mother, Marjorie Johnson, two brothers, Herschel Johnson and wife Linda, Bill Johnson, and wife Pat; one sister, Brenda Johnson; and many loved nieces, nephews, and cousins. Tom was preceded in death by his father; and one sister, Jane Johnson. Graveside Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 1, 2021, at Bethel Cemetery in Wabash County, Illinois, with Pastor Vaughn Courter officiating.
