Obituary for Terry H. Simmons
Terry H. Simmons, 61, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away Monday, June 28, 2021, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana. He was born on January 4, 1960, in Lawrenceville, Illinois, the son of William and Vera (Daniels) Simmons. He married Ellen Sampson in 1991 and she survives.  Terry had worked for Paul John’s Construction. In his spare time, he liked to go fishing. Spending time with his family was important to him. The grandchildren held a special place in his heart. Terry will be missed by his family and friends. Terry leaves behind his loving wife, Ellen; stepchildren, Jacqueline (Jason) Stewart, William Wiseman; five grandchildren. Terry was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Mark Simmons, and one grandson. In keeping with Terry’s wishes, cremation rites will take place and no formal services will be held. Keepes Funeral Home is serving the family with the arrangements. To view Terry’s tribute wall and leave condolences for the Simmons family, please visit www.KeepesFuneralHome.com.
