Obituary for Sherry A. White
Sherry A. White, 61, of Fort Branch, IN, passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at Charlier Hospice Center in Evansville, IN surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on February 28, 1955 in Princeton, IN the daughter of Thomas and Gertrude (Parker) Gourley.
Sherry cherished time she spent with her family and friends. She also loved to travel. Some of her most memorable trips were to the beach at Destin, Florida and also to Mississippi. Sherry was very fond of animals especially to her dog Zoey who never left her side. Sherry will be missed by all who knew her.
She will be remembered by her son, Shawn Grimes of Keensburg, IL; grandson, Caleb Grimes; sisters, Linda (Jim) Bogard of Mount Carmel and Sue Hargrave of Keensburg, IL.
Sherry was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Bill Gourley, Jack Gourley and Harold “Moke” Gourley.
Family and friends are invited to gather from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 26, 2016 in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 26, 2016 in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home with Pastor Allan Wright officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery in Mount Carmel, IL.
Memorial contributions may be made in Sherry’s memory to the Charlier Hospice Center, 610 E. Walnut Street, Evansville, IN 47713. Envelopes will be at the funeral home or can be mailed to Keepes Funeral Home, 1500 North Cherry Street, Mount Carmel, IL 62863.
