Obituary for Sharon J Sanders
Sharon J Sanders, 78, of Mount Carmel, IL passed away peacefully on Friday, April 15, 2016 at Deaconess VNA Plus Hospice in Evansville, IN. Sharon was born on October 22, 1937 in Anna Jonesboro, IL the daughter of Donald and Jayne (Herman) Miller.
Sharon was a homemaker and spent many years caring for children in her home. She loved her family. Among her hobbies she enjoyed bowling, camping and working word search puzzles. Sharon was a member of the Eagles and the Eagles Women’s Auxiliary. She will be missed by her family and all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Don Sanders of Mount Carmel; sons, Don Henry of Mount Carmel, IL and Stephen Henry of Auburndale, FL; daughters, Debra Lewis and her husband Duane of Mount Carmel and Jeri Glick also of Mount Carmel; grandchildren, Blake, Breanna and Brooklyn Henry, Chrissy Henry, Kaycee and Tristan Lewis, Jimmy Glick and his wife Ariel, Jamie Hipsher and her husband Ryan; great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Haleigh, and Lauren Hipsher and Arianna Glick; sister, Melinda Fulmer of Edwardsville, IL; and a very dear friend, Marilyn Spruell.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Rickliffe Henry; two brothers, Edward Miller and John Scott Miller; sister, Patty Miles.
A Memorial Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 22, 2016 in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will begin at 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 22, 2016 at the funeral home with Reverend Jim Summers officiating. A private family burial will be held at a later date at Highland Memorial Cemetery in Mount Carmel, IL.
Memorial contributions may be made in Sharon’s memory to Deaconess VNA Plus Hospice, 610 E Walnut St, Evansville, IN 47713. Envelopes will be at the funeral home or can be mailed to Keepes Funeral Home, 1500 North Cherry Street, Mount Carmel, IL 62863.
