Obituary for Raynold E. Locke
Raynold E. Locke, 79, of Mount Carmel, Illinois passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at his residence surrounded by the love of his family.  He was born on August 15, 1938 in Bakersfield, CA the son of Barton and Mildred (Rigg) Locke.  Raynold married Barbara Fletcher on June 21, 1959 and together they enjoyed fifty eight years of marriage. Raynold was a loving husband and father.  He was a true outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and working in his garden.  Raynold was a very hard worker.  During his working career, he worked at DeKalb Seed for eight years and seventeen years at A & P grocery store as butcher in the meat department.  He also worked for Duke Energy at the power plant as a supervisor for twenty three years.    Raynold will be missed by his family and all who knew him. Raynold will be remembered by his loving wife, Barbara Locke of Mount Carmel; son, Greg Locke of Mount Carmel; daughter, Ranell (Billy Brown) Locke of Mount Carmel; sister, Audrey (Harold) Hinderliter of Mount Carmel; brother-in-law, David (Susie) King of Bellmont; brother, Jack Locke of Bellmont; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Raynold was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Lou King; and brother, Butch Locke. In keeping with Raynold’s wishes he will be cremated.  Family and friends may gather for a Memorial Visitation from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 9, 2017 in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home.  A private family burial will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in Raynold’s memory to Bellmont United Methodist Church or to Wabash County Animal Shelter Buddies.  Envelopes will be at the funeral home or can be mailed to Keepes Funeral Home, 1500 N.
