Obituary for Randall R. Swain
Randall R. Swain, 86, of Mount Carmel, passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Oakview Heights Continuous Care and Rehab surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 23, 1928 in Mount Carmel, the son of Robert and Martha (Brunner) Swain. He married Norma McTaggart on August 27, 1949 in Mount Carmel. Together they enjoyed sixty five years of marriage. Randall enjoyed spending time with his family. During his working career, he was employed by Snap On Tools and worked as a press setter at several area newspapers. He enjoyed driving vintage cars and attending car shows. Randall attended Trinity United Methodist Church. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Oakview Heights Continuous Care & Rehab and also Celtic Healthcare for their compassionate care given to Randall. He will be missed by his loved ones. He is survived by his loving wife, Norma Swain of Mount Carmel; son, Charles (Karen) Swain of Mount Carmel; five grandchildren, April (Jerry) Beehn of Albion, Shawn (Shannon) Swain of Bellmont, Jack Randall Jr. (Jessica) Swain of Sarasota, FL, Zach Hunt and T.J. Hunt of Mount Carmel; seven great grandchildren, Taylor, Cicely, Logan, Kannon, Jaxton, Gavin and Tallulah. Randall was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jack Swain; and daughter Kristen Swain. Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 19, 2015, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 512 North Mulberry Street, Mount Carmel with Ed Davis and Tom Hanzel officiating. Entombment will follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery. Family and friends may gather for a visitation from 12:00 p.m. 1:30 p.m., Monday, January 19, 2015 at the church.
