Obituary for Peggy Ann (Allen) Ray
Peggy Ann (Allen) Ray, 75, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2020 at Wabash General Hospital. She was born on April 10, 1945 in Wabash County, Illinois, the daughter of William Chris and Thelma (Axton) Allen. Peggy spent many years as a managing cook of the KC Hall, Elks and Eagles in Mount Carmel. She loved her job and making food for people. She was a true people person and loved to fellowship with others. Peggy loved her family and will be missed by her family and all who knew her. Peggy will be remembered by her sons, Keith “K.R.” Snider, Jr. of Evansville, IN and Johnny Croger of Mount Carmel; daughter, Winter (Hamilton) Kennedy of Evansville, IN; three grandchildren, Johnny Croger, Jr., Michael Snider and Elisabeth Medler; two sisters, Anita (Norman) Timberlake and Marilyn (Max) Schroder. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; infant sister, Patsy Jean Allen; and nephew, Bill Timberlake. In keeping with Peggy’s wishes, she will be cremated. Memorial contributions can be mailed to Keepes Funeral Home, 1500 N. Cherry Street, Mount Carmel, IL 62863 to help offset funeral expenses.
