Obituary for Patric A. Morgan
Patric A. Morgan, 62, of Mount Carmel, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN. He was born on November 20, 1953 in Wabash County, IL the son of John A. and Hester (Shepard) Morgan. Patric married Gail Martin on April 2, 1977 at the First Christian Church.
Patric started working at the early age of seventeen in the oilfield business with his dad and brothers. He was part owner of M & S Oil Well Cementing. Patric was a graduate of Mount Carmel High School Class of 1971. Patric’s life was centered on his family and his faith in God. His family was his pride and joy and he loved spending time with them at their home. Among his hobbies he enjoyed golf, bowling and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. Patric is an Irish name meaning “Mighty Warrior”. He fought many battles and received many miracles throughout his struggles with his health. On November 15, 2016 Patric received the greatest miracle to be at home with his Lord and Savior. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.
Patric will be remembered by his loving wife of thirty nine years, Gail Morgan of Mount Carmel; two daughters, Angie Morgan and Ashley (Ryan) Kirk both of St. Louis, Mo; brothers, Jeff Morgan of Mount Carmel and John D. (Brenda) Morgan of Chapel Hill, TN; sister, Teri (Dale) Healy of Geff, IL; many loved cousins, nieces and nephews. Patric was preceded in death by his parents; and sister in law, Beverly Morgan.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a Memorial Visitation from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 18, 2016 in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made in Patric’s memory to Out of Zion Prayer Center, 328 North Market Street, Mount Carmel, IL 62863 or to a local charity of your choice.
