Obituary for Lynn Ray Krauchi
Lynn Ray Krauchi, 69, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at home. He was born November 28, 1948 in Brazil, Indiana the son of George and Geraldine (Sutton) Krauchi. Lynn served in the Air National Guard at Hulman Field in Terre Haute, Indiana where he was a member of the Reserve 181st Airborne.  During his college years at Indiana State University, he was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He was employed by Mount Carmel Stabilization Group as a truck driver. In his free time, Lynn enjoyed fishing. He was a member of the Hanging Rock Bass Club and cherished the many friendships he made there. He greatly enjoyed helping with the various activities the club sponsored. He looked forward to the fishing tournaments for the kids each year. Lynn will be dearly missed by all who knew him.  Lynn will be remembered by his step-son, Brian Ellinghausen; sister, Jane (Jim) Gaston; step-grandchildren, Gage, Brice and Landis Ellinghausen; several nieces and nephews.  Lynn was preceded in death by his parents.  Family and friends may gather for a Celebration of Life from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Friday, December 8, 2017 in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home.   Lynn’s family requests casual dress.  Memorial contributions may be made in Lynn’s memory to the Hanging Rock Bass Club C/O Dale Hosmer, 414 E 8th Street, Mount Carmel, IL 62863 or the Wabash County Animal Shelter Buddies, 11336 N. 1550 Blvd, Mount Carmel, IL 62863. Envelopes will be available at the Celebration of Life or may be mailed to Keepes Funeral Home 1500 N.
