Obituary for Larry Beckerman
Larry Beckerman, 72, of Allendale, IL went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was born on April 4, 1942 in Anderson, IN, the son of Robert and Helen (Gabbert) Beckerman. He married Regina (Detruf) on December 10, 1988 at the Community Church of God in Mount Carmel, and she survives. Larry loved being surrounded by his family and enjoyed spending time with them. During his working career, Larry was a pipe fitter for General Motors. Larry was known for his one of a kind sense of humor. One of his favorite sayings was, well kiss a Fat baby. Larry was a member of the Community Church of God. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Good Samaritan Hospice, their church family and also Keepes Funeral Home for the compassionate care shown. Larry will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife of twenty five years Regina Beckerman; children, Brian ( Sandy) Beckerman of Anderson, IN; Candy (Jimmy) Scott of Lapel, IN; Gina (Donnie) Farmer of Allendale, and Tammy (Kevin Tapp) Yokel of Evansville, IN; grandchildren, Sarah (Shawn) Ergler, Scott (Stacy) Beckerman, Evan Scherer, Eli Scott, Whitney (Wayne) Hocking, Dillon (Chloe Smith) Farmer, Peyton, Maci and Mylee Farmer, A.J. Yokel, Jeremy (Kristy) Bray, Justin (Charlie) Bray, Megan (Robert Gibson) Bray, and Kiera Tapp; great grandchildren, Xander Hocking, Tayvin, Bentley, Tristan, Karson, Chandler and Lola Bray, Kyra and Kolt Bray, Havyn Martin. He is also survived by his siblings, Ron (Susie) Beckerman, Don (Dorena) Beckerman, and Pat Corbin; many nieces and nephews. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Helen Beckerman. Per Larrys wishes, he was cremated. A Memorial Service for Larry will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, August 9, 2014 at the the Community Church of God in Mount Carmel with Minister Matt Richardson officiating. Family and friends may gather from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service, Saturday, August 9, 2014 at the church. Memorial contributions may be made in Larrys memory to the Community Church of God, 1532 College Drive, Mount Carmel, IL 62863 or can be mailed to Keepes Funeral Home, 1500 North Cherry Street, Mount Carmel, IL 62863.
