Obituary for Larry W. Hopper
Larry W. Hopper, 69, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2020 at Deaconess Heart Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on January 19, 1951 in Wabash County, Illinois, the son of Lonnie and Roberta (Martin) Hopper. From an early age, Larry, earned the nickname “Poncho”. Poncho loved his family and friends. He was always willing to help others. He loved to play poker on his electronics and also enjoyed watching WWF Wresting. He will be missed by his family and all who knew him. Poncho will be remembered by his brothers, Danny Hopper and wife Rosalla, and Mike Martin; sisters, Gloria Richardson, Tina (Mike) Waters, Linda Hopper and Anne Dangbar; stepson, John Hopper; nieces and nephews, Christy Hopper, Bruce (DeAnna) Hopper, Daniel (Alyssa) Hopper, Karolyn Strayer, Amanda Wilkinson and Justin Hopper; great nieces and nephews, Yasmine, Jordan, Hunter, Mariska, Bria, Jude, Oliver, Willow, Terra, Jace, Avery, Daylin, and Xander; special friend, Debbie Legg. Poncho was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Josephine Hopper; niece, Tabitha Hopper; and great niece, Lila Hopper. Cremation rites have taken place and no formal services will be held at this time. Keepes Funeral Home is serving the family with the arrangements.
