Obituary for Kathryn A. "Kathy" Miller
Kathryn A. Kathy Miller, 57, of Mount Carmel, IL, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. She was born on December 27, 1957 in Wabash County, IL, the daughter of Fred VanMatre and Frances (Lange) Fields. Kathy loved life. She enjoyed camping, fishing and just being outdoors. She especially loved her trips to the ocean. She worked at the power plant in construction. She was a member of the Hope Fellowship Church in Mount Carmel. She will be missed by her family and all who knew her. She is survived by her mother Frances Fields of Mount Carmel; son, Tyler Miller of Mount Carmel; siblings, Tim (Diane) VanMatre of Mount Vernon, IL, Jim (Connie) VanMatre of Salem, IL, Mark VanMatre of Mount Carmel, David (Tira) Fields of Mount Carmel. Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Fred VanMatre; step father, Cletus E. Fields; grandparents, Ted and Elsie VanMatre, Marvin and Ella (Lang) Watchous. Per the families wishes Kathy will be cremated. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Keepes Funeral Home is serving the family with the arrangements.
