Obituary for John Mark Lommock
John Mark Lommock, 78, of Mount Carmel, IL passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at the Linda E. White Hospice Center in Evansville, IN surrounded by the love of his family.  He was born on January 7, 1939 in DuBois, PA the son of Nickolas and Anna (Shilala) Lommock.  John married Dianne Johns on August 25, 1964 at St. Elizabeth Church in Starford, PA. John was a loving husband, father and grandfather.  He faithfully served his country in the United States Marine Corps as a field radio operator.  In John’s younger years he enjoyed being outdoors and camping with his family.  He was also an avid reader. John worked at the coal mine as a mechanic/electrician.  John will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him. John will be remembered by his wife of fifty three years, Dianne Lommock of Mount Carmel, IL; children, Cassandra (George) Vickas of Chicago, IL, Serena (Tim) Browning of Fort Branch, IN and Damon (Stacey) Lommock of Clinton, IN; grandchildren, Veronica Vickas, Alex Vickas, Samantha Vickas, Nathaniel Lommock and Bridget (Bob) Lommock; sister, C. Michele Charette; sister in law, Debbie Brickell; brother in law, John (Judy) Johns; nieces and nephews, Jan Lommock, Richard (Cheryl) Lommock, Wil Charette and Johnathan Johns.  John was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Richard and Terry Lommock; sister, Betty; brothers in law, Hugh Brickell and Wil Charette, Sr. In keeping with John’s wishes he will be cremated and a Memorial Service will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate to a charity of your choice or to the Linda E.
