Obituary for Edward D Lambert
Edward Ed Dale Lambert, 74, of Mount Carmel, IL, passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 23, 1940 in Wabash County, IL the son of Nobel and Alvina (Bump) Lambert. Ed married Liz (Clark) Lambert on June 2, 1959 and she survives. Ed and Liz enjoyed traveling to almost every state together on their motorcycle. Ed loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. Among his hobbies, he enjoyed collecting toy tractors and riding his motorcycle. Ed was a member of Parkview Christin Church in Mount Carmel. He will be missed by his family and all who knew him. Ed is survived by his wife of fifty five years, Liz Lambert of Mount Carmel; son, Jim Lambert and wife Sara of Steamboat Springs, CO; three grandchildren, Melanie, Ryan and Shane Lambert; brother, Ralph Lambert of Mount Carmel; and sister, Leona Johnson of Princeton, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Debra Lambert; and sister, Wilma Kleinschmidt. Per Ed and his familys wishes, he will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 29, 2014 at the Parkview Christian Church in Mount Carmel, IL with Pastor Mark Richison officiating. A private family burial will follow at a later date at Antioch Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Eds memory to Parkview Christian Church Youth Group. Envelopes will be at the church or can be mailed to Keepes Funeral Home, 1500 North Cherry Street, Mount Carmel, IL 62863. Keepes Funeral Home is serving the family with the arrangements.
