Obituary for Douglas A. Roberts
Douglas A. Roberts, 66, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at his residence.  He was born on January 6, 1955 in Tampa, Florida, the son of Terrance Andrew Roberts, Sr. and Geraldine (Boyce) Thompson.  Doug graduated from Hillsborough High School in Tampa and went on to attend Hobart School of Welding. Doug was a great story teller and always loved a good joke.  He had an immense love for dancing and listening to music; two things he passed on to his children.  Doug was a hard worker and enjoyed his many welding jobs that took him to many different places.  He was a General Welding Forman on several multi-million-dollar projects and always took great pride in his work.  Doug was loved by all who knew him and will be missed by his family and friends. Doug will be remembered by his parents, Terrance Roberts, Sr. and Geraldine Thompson; three daughters, Sarah Roberts-Hanna, Katherine Allen and Sabrina McComas; son, Daniel Roberts; three grandchildren, Harper, Emily and Taylor; brother, Danny Roberts; sister, Charmaine Hankins; many loved cousins, nieces and nephews. Doug was preceded in death by his brother, Terrance Roberts, Jr. In keeping with Doug’s wishes, he will be cremated and no formal services will be held at this time. Keepes Funeral Home is serving the family with the arrangements.  To view Doug’s tribute wall and leave condolences for the Roberts family, please visit www.KeepesFuneralHome.com.
