Obituary for Donald L. "Donnie" Brown
Donald L. “Donnie” Brown, 57, of Mount Carmel, IL passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2016 at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was born on February 1, 1959 the son of Don and Martha (Hedge) Brown.
Among Donnie’s hobbies he enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and artifact hunting. He treasured his time he spent with his family and his grandkids were his pride and joy. Donnie will be missed by his family and all who knew him.
Donnie’s family includes his son, David (Cora) Brown of Berryville, IL; daughter, Jennifer (C.W.) VanVleet of Mount Carmel, IL; grandsons, Zane VanVleet and Xander Brown; parents, Don and Martha Brown; loving companion of twenty five years, Sandy Stoneberger; brother, Todd (Patty) Brown of Mount Carmel, IL; sister, Telisa (Sierra Brown) Brown, Kathy (Garry) Foote of Mount Carmel, IL; lifelong best friend Rick Oliver whom Donnie considered a true friend; many loved cousins, nieces and nephews.
Donnie was preceded in death by his two brothers, Gil and Kevin Clark.
Per Donnie’s wishes he will be cremated. Family and friends will hold a Memorial Service at a later date to celebrate Donnie’s life.
Memorial contributions may be made in Donnie’s memory to Keepes Funeral Home to offset funeral expenses. Envelopes will be at the funeral home or can be mailed to Keepes Funeral Home, 1500 North Cherry Street, Mount Carmel, IL 62863.
