Obituary for Carolyn J. Kruse
Carolyn J. Kruse, 76, of Mount Carmel, IL, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Oakview Heights Continuous Care & Rehab. She was born on June 4, 1938 in Wabash County, IL, the daughter of Karl C. and Esther (Weisenberger) Kruse. Carolyns hobbies included bowling, watching the St. Louis Cardinals, reading and crossword puzzles. In her younger years, she enjoyed traveling to many different places. Carolyn also enjoyed spending time with her family and close friends. She worked at the Old National Bank in the loan department and also Ben Franklin in Mount Carmel, IL. She is survived by her niece, Margaret (Paul Glaser Jr.) Kruse of Fort Branch, IN; nephews, Stan (Cynthia) Kruse and Kevin Kruse both of Mount Carmel, IL; great nieces and nephews, Justin (Felicia) Kruse, Jessica Kruse and Tyler Kruse; several cousins; close friends, Darla Williams, Phyllis Blair and Patsy Hocking. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Norman Kruse; and sister in law, Glenna Kruse. Funeral Services will be at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, June 28, 2014 at the First Apostolic Church, 1121 Cedar Street, Mount Carmel, IL with Bishop Paul McGee Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Bone Gap Cemetery in Edwards County, IL. Family and friends may gather for a visitation for Carolyn from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service, Saturday, June 28, 2014 at the First Apostolic Church. Memorial contributions may be made in Carolyns memory to First Apostolic Church. Memorial envelopes will be available at the church or may be mailed to Keepes Funeral Home, 1500 North Cherry Street, Mount Carmel, IL 62863.
