Sue will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Some of her fondest memories were time spent with family. She was a member of Lancaster Church of Christ. In her free time, Sue enjoyed crocheting and took great pride working in her yard. Sue was a hard worker and spent several years working as a bank teller in Olney, IL. During her working career, she also worked as a telephone operator for GTE where Sue met Charles and they later married. They were proud of their home on Mesa Lake. Sue retired from the central office school district in Marion, IL where she worked at the superintendent office. She always looked forward to traveling and trips to the beach were her favorite. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Sue will be remembered by her children, Gussie Dickenson and husband, Glenn of Owensville, IN, Michelle Wilkinson of Tampa, FL and Tony Black of Olney, IL; three grandchildren, Chelse Wilkinson, Dylan Stefanich, and Colton Stefanich; four sisters, Bobbi (Kerwin) Hoff, Donna (Dennis) Bickel, Kay (Ray) Strzelec, and Kenna (Dave) Lucas; many loved cousins, nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Sue’s wishes, cremation will take place and no formal services will be held at this time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Sue’s memory to Lancaster Church of Christ.
