Obituary for Callie Paige Woods
Callie Paige Woods, 5, of Waynesboro, VA went to be with Jesus on Thursday, August 4, 2016. She was born on September 21, 2010 in Maryville, IL the daughter of Zach and Ashlei (Brown) Woods.
Callie was a very vibrant young girl who had a spectacular love for life. She loved to dress up like a princess but could also be found muddy playing in creek. Like most little girls, Callie loved her shoes especially high heels. Callie had a very close relationship with her brother Maddox. She looked up to her big brother with lots of love and admiration. She was very fond of animals. Callie kept busy with crafty & artsy projects and considered herself to be an artist. She was registered to start kindergarten at Wilson Elementary School. Callie’s parents were on staff at Bridge Christian Church and Callie was very active in the Church. She loved Jesus and was always asking questions about Jesus and Heaven.
Callie will be remembered by her loving parents, Zach and Ashlei Woods; big brother, Maddox Woods; maternal grandparents, Kevin and Gina Brown of Carmi, IL; paternal grandparents, Kenny and Perfidia Woods of Mount Carmel, IL; maternal great grandmothers, Betty Brown of Carmi, IL and Carolyn Chastain also of Carmi, IL; paternal great grandmother, Johann Shearer of Mount Carmel; aunts and uncles, Josh and Melissa Woods, Drew and Mallory Birdsley and Drew Brown; cousins, Payton, Avery and Vera.
Callie was preceded in death by her paternal great grandparents, Donald Shearer, Marion and Marjorie Woods; maternal great grandfathers, Frank Brown and Robert Chastain.
Family and friends are invited to gather from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Sunday, August 7, 2016 at Parkview Christian Church, Hwy 1 North, Mount Carmel, IL 62863.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 8, 2016 at Parkview Christian Church with Pastor Todd Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery in Mount Carmel where she will be laid to rest.
