Obituary for Bobby P. "Smokey" Miller, Jr.
Bobby P. “Smokey” Miller, Jr., 49, of Grayville, IL passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 in Gibson County, IN. Smokey was born February 24, 1967 in Olney, IL the son of Edgar P. “Smokey” Miller and Bobbie (Cochran) Crews.
Smokey Jr. was a loyal soul who lived as he wished. Those who knew him, knew you either loved him or didn’t there was no in between. He loved riding his motorcycle and having a good time. Smokey Jr was a member of the Olney VFW Auxiliary. He held his family, friends and his dogs close to his heart.
Smokey Jr. will be remembered by his significant other, Kearston Burns of Grayville, IL; his father, Smokey Miller and his wife Billie of Olney, IL; mother, Bobbie (Cochran) Crews of Grayville, IL; daughter, Chloe J. Miller St. Pierre of Olney, IL; sister, Wendi Owen of Grayville, IL; nieces, Leah and Talon Garman of Grayville, IL; and brother, Paul Miller of Fort Drum, NY.
Smokey Jr. was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Babe and Pert Miller; maternal grandparents, Bob and Daisy Cochran.
In keeping with Smokey’s family’s wishes he will be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 14, 2016 in Grayville at the city park lower pavilion. Memorial contributions can be made in Smokey’s memory to the Miller family to help offset funeral expenses. Donations can be mailed to Keepes Funeral Home, 1500 N. Cherry Street, Mount Carmel, IL 62863.
