Obituary for Barbara F. Seibert
Barbara Seibert, 78, of Mount Carmel, passed away January 13, 2016 at Wabash General Hospital with her loving family by her side.
She was born August 29, 1937 in Wabash County IL, the daughter of Sherwood and Bernice (Brines) Risley.
She married Milton Seibert on May 5, 1957 at the First Christian Church in Mount Carmel. He preceded her in death on October 25, 1981.
Barbara was a homemaker who devoted her life to being kind to others. She loved sending greeting cards and helping teach the children of North School with crafts and songs. Barbara had a great love of animals and owned a variety of pets. Her grandchildren were very dear to her. Barbara was a member of the Maud Household Science Club and a 1956 graduate of Mount Carmel High School. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her sons, Morris (Krystal) Seibert of Albion, IL and Brent (Shirley) Seibert of Lebanon, TN; four grandsons and three great grandchildren; brother, Bingham Risley of North Judson, IN; and sister Theodora Dixon of Lawrence, KS.
Barbara was preceded in death by her loving husband of twenty four years; her parents; and one great-grandson.
Family and friends are invited to gather from 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m., Monday, January 18, 2016 in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 18, 2016 in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home with Reverend Jerry Crawford officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Mount Carmel.
